Juni Spielman is Heading to State!

Scorpion Freshman Juni Spielman is headed to the AIA State Championship in Cross Country. Juni qualified individually in sectionals with an impressive 21:45.86 time in the 5000 meter event.

To put that in perspective, Juni ran for 21+ minutes over rough terrain at a blazing 8.57 miles per hour over the +3.1 mile distance. An obviously amazing performance!

We wish Juni the best of luck tomorrow! The State Championships will be held at Cave Creek Golf Course, 15202 North 19th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85023. For information on the meet, visit AIA's tournament information page or head down to the valley tomorrow and support Juni as a spectator. The Division IV Girls 5000 meter event starts at 1:10pm.
